There is a lot of hand work I need to do there, so I am leaving this site up until all that work is done.
All new entries will go on the new site.
All the entries from this site are on the new site, but may not be formatted.
Thanks for your patience during this transition.

Olympic Premium Zero VOC Paint
An affordable, zero-VOC paint now sold at Lowe's. I bought a gallon of semi-gloss to paint some trim and hired a painter. When I walked in the room, I said, "Have you been painting with this paint?" I could smell nothing. Comes in flat, semi-gloss, satin, eggshell...even exterior paint. 1200+ colors. Looks great.
VISIT WEBSITE
n Debra's List you will find more than 1000 links to products that benefit your health and the environment. After more than 25 years as a consumer advocate for health and the environment and looking for products to use in my own personal life, I know where to buy a few things and how to choose toxic-free and green products.

I am chemically sensitive and read your post about Olympic paint. So I went out and bought Olympic premium ceiling paint which says that it is zero voc. My husband painted our bedroom and I came home four days later. My nose and throat are burning. I reread the label and it says that this product does contain crystalline siica which can cause lung cancer. I was hoping to find a paint closer to home but this won't be the one.
Chrystalline silica causes cancer as a dust hazard when workers are exposed to large amounts. You are not exposed to crystalline silica from applying this paint or after it is on the walls because the particles are all bound up in the paint.
This paint is zero VOC paint but there may be VOCs in the tint. I bought untinted white paint for trim and there was no problem with it for me.
